It was our privilege to attend the 200th anniversary of Marquis de Lafayette’s grand tour of the United States yesterday at the Battlefield of Brandywine where he was wounded! Lafayette was a French noble, orphaned at a young age, who dedicated his life to liberty and fought in the American Revolution alongside George Washington!

The American Friends of Lafayette had a fabulous program that included speakers, musicians, students, and the Marquis de Lafayette! The event was held at Thornbury Farm CSA, land that was part of the battle! Check out the last part of Lafayette’s grand tour!
